Trialed & Approved Extensive trialing by region continues to be a key part of our introduction process at Ball FloraPlant ® to ensure our products work in your area. Our knowledgeable
breeding team performs these trials for new introductions, as well as continuous fine‑tuning of our varieties after they have been introduced.
Setting the Standard Before we consider launching a new variety, it has to meet our minimum trial standards. This “checklist” includes performance characteristics required for a passing grade in our greenhouse and outdoor trials in various regions. These trials are conducted at our own trial locations and with growers across the country.
